30 min Pesto Pasta with chicken, zucchini, and mushrooms
and some of my favorite delicious bites from this last week
Some of my favorite bites from last week:

From left to right, top to bottom
Oysters with kohlrabi kraut and sesame from State bird Provisions in SF - one of the restaurant’s classic “dim sum” dishes, and it’s the perfect bite. Highly recommend if you like oysters. Don’t be afraid of the large about of kohlrabi kraut - it’s not as sour as I expected and the sesame balances it out so well.
Lamb tartare toast with golden raisin agrodolce & chermouli aioli - my first time trying lamb tartare. Some people are a bit freaked out about eating raw meat, but you need to know that *good* tartare is made with super fresh, high quality meat. This was my favorite bite of our dinner, and the sweetness from the golden raisin agrodolce was unexpected and really nice.
Seared steelhead trout with shallot orzo - another new recipe coming your way later this week. This was so delicious and took less than 45 mins to make.
Breakfast sandwich at backhaus in Burlingame. The bun, the sauce, the sausage … every component is SO good, and honestly it’s great value. $15.50 for a super high quality sandwich (everything is scratch made). I think I like it more than the plow breakfast sandwich, which is really great but hard to get considering their weekend line is usually >1.5 hours.
Nuri tomato sardines (tin pictured on the left side of the photo). Paired with the backhaus everything epi pretzel baguette, this was such a delicious and simple lunch. Grabbed this at Church produce in SF (shoutout to my friend Olivia who raved about these to me). Highly recommend grabbing this combo for a picnic with friends or a date!
Pesto Pasta!
I loved this recipe so much. There’s something about a nice big bowl of pasta that also hits my ~protein, carb, veg~ balanced meal requirements. Don’t get me wrong - I love a cacio e pepe or a nice crab pasta, but something about a one pot(ish) meal on a weekday that hits my balanced weeknight dinner checklist is a winner in my dinner game.
