Caramel Apple Muffins
Writing to you all today from Toronto, Canada! It’s been a bit chaotic this past week - I haven’t traveled in what feels like eternity, and we’re about to embark on a mini tour across Europe.
We are planning to spend time in the mountains to recharge, explore ancient cities and islands of Greece, watch some of our good friends get married, and just be disconnected from our everyday routine.
I’ve collected a list of recommendations from foodies who have visited our stops, and I cannot wait to check them out and share them with you too. Stay tuned for that special section in the newsletter coming in the next few weeks.
Now onto our recipe this week: Caramel Apple Muffins
If you’ve never made a homemade caramel, these muffins are the perfect opportunity to try it. It’s really not hard, and the results are seriously so so so so so good.
Homemade caramel is like discovering fresh corn when you’ve been eating frozen corn your whole life. Like discovering the taste of home grown /farmers market tomatoes after just knowing Roma tomatoes.
I could go on and on, but the point is, homemade caramel is KING. Even just drizzled over vanilla ice cream can be a perfect simple dessert, but in these muffins, or on an apple crisp, it’s just next level.
Even if you don’t make the muffins, please try making the homemade caramel. You won’t regret it!
